Walk Your Way To Running A 5K SM  -  Group Training Program
 For Beginners

How it works:


During the training cycle you will meet with Kiersten Bartolotta, a RRCA- certified running coach once a week. 
Each session will consist of timed progressive intervals of walking and jogging to train your body slowly how to run.  You will also learn how to prevent common running injuries, hydration, running apparel and how to set realistic fitness goals.  Setting goals is essential to a successful fitness program and trainings will teach participants how to set goals, keep track of progress and follow through with their fitness plan.

What you Get:
  • One group training session per week with Kiersten, a RRCA-certified running coach
  • Two additional workout plans per week to complete on your own
  • Fitness analysis and regular individual feedback during the training cycle
  • Essential information on running technique, apparel, hydration, race registration, pacing and recovery
  • Skills on how to self-motivate and set realistic, achievable short- and long-term fitness goals
  • Walk To Run Fitness training log included
  • 15% discount at Sayville Running Company
  • Registration information* and instructional guidance on a charity 5K race to complete at the end of the training cycle
  • Your coach with you at the final 5K race

What about the 5k race?

Kiersten will be there for the 5k scheduled race.  Trainings will stress that finishing the run is the most important aspect of this accomplishment, not your speed or race time.  Crossing the finish line to receive hugs from your friends and family is our goal and Kiersten will be there to see this personal achievement.

NEW
 - 8 week "Learn to Run"  2 Miler program

This new program has all the information & training as the Walk Your Way To Running A 5k training program but the training period is only for 8 weeks.  Each session will consist of intervals of walking and running, slowly increasing your running distance to 2 miles by the end of the training program.  You will learn all the basics about apparel, hydration, technique, how to self- motivate and how to set fitness goals.
